#Ride400

Ready For Adventure
Our Ride 400 fork, originally titled GXR fork, was built to complement the Kevin of Steel and titanium GXR frameset. Featuring 3 x 12 mm M5 mounting points on each blade, the Ride 400 fork can accommodate anything from extra water bottles, our Rocket Pooches, or any other micro pannier or fork-specific bag.
Tackle Tougher Terrain
The Ride 400 fork can run either a 27.5 (650b) or 700C wheelset; this allows riders to choose different adventures and tyre sizes. The design is optimised around 700C x 35-40, or 27.5 x 2.0-2.1, with similar effective rolling diameters. As a result, this fork is just as comfortable at the local cyclocross races as tackling rocky singletrack.
Front Rack Ready
If running a front rack, please keep in mind that the fork is designed to carry a max weight of 6 kg (3 kg/ blade) - a bit of jiggery is required when installing a rack - you will need a bracket that allows the rack to attach to both the front and rear mount on the fork crown to ensure the rack is securely in place. This applies to all items you wish to mount, for example, a front light.

FAQs
Will the Ride 400 work with my frame? | The Ride 400 fork has a tapered 1 1/8th"-1.5" (28.6-39mm) steerer with a 350 mm length. We use this steerer type on all of our forks and 44mm head tubes on all Curve frames. It may work with your frame, but you may have to change your headset or headset bearings to make it work. Please have a professional bicycle mechanic fit your Ride 400 fork. |
What is the maximum recommended spacer stack I can put under my stem? | We don't recommend any more than 30mm below your stem, and suggest putting a 3-5mm spacer above the stem to ensure precise compression and ample clearance of your stem cap. |
